Skinny Low Carb Cauliflower Pizza Recipe

Are you actively trying to lose weight but also love indulging in pizza? Who doesn’t?! One of the challenges of dieting properly and losing weight is finding healthy recipes that don’t taste like cardboard. One effective method I’ve found to positively reinforce weight loss in my clinic patients is to provide them delicious and simple recipes of their favorite foods but with a healthy twist. Who said you can’t eat your favorite foods and still be healthy? Below is a low carb pizza recipe that all my patients enjoy for all of you pizza lovers out there.

Low Carb Cauliflower Pizza Recipe

What You Will Need:

  • 1 head cauliflower (or 2 bags rice cauliflower)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 5 leaves basil

Optional:

  • 10-12oz tomato sauce
  • 6-10oz mozzarella cheese
  • Choice of toppings

Directions

Pulse cauliflower in food processor.

Steam cauliflower and then drain it dry. (You can substitute the cauliflower head with 2 bags of rice cauliflower if you do not own a food processor)

Mix with the other ingredients above and bake on 400F for 20 min.

Add your toppings (I use 10oz tomato sauce, 6oz mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, onions, mushroom and turkey pepperoni).

Bake for 10 minutes.

It’s true, abs are made in the kitchen and being consistent with diet is what most of my patients (and people in general) struggle with. By eating healthy options that are actually tasty, you will be more likely to stick to your diet and shed those stubborn pounds!
